Meet Neal

Hi, I’m Neal.

My journey into ski teaching began on the artificial slopes of Sheffield Ski Village, where what started as a hobby quickly turned into a lifelong passion. After qualifying as an instructor, I spent my spare time teaching students from local schools and universities. Talking to instructors who were teaching in the Alps inspired me to take the next step and train on snow.

I worked hard to pass my British Association of Snowsports Instructors (BASI) qualification and soon found myself teaching school groups in Italy—an experience that confirmed I had found the career I truly loved.

A visit to Verbier changed everything. After being offered a position with the Swiss Ski School Verbier, I relocated to the Swiss Alps and began what has now been over 20 years of teaching skiing at the highest level.

Alongside a small group of colleagues, I later co-founded Europeansnowsport.

Today, I continue to teach in Verbier and now work  in association with the The Ski School Verbier Experience, delivering high-quality, personalised ski instruction. Over the years I’ve taught everyone from complete beginners to seasoned skiers, including celebrities and professional athletes, and I’m proud that many clients and families return year after year.

Seeing people finish a lesson smiling, confident, and loving their skiing never gets old.

Outside of skiing, I’m a qualified Sports Massage Therapist, trained at the University of Nottingham, and a Personal Trainer educated at Loughborough University. I also worked with Massage 1936 during a winter season and am a qualified British Cycling Let’s Ride Bike Leader.

Whether it’s skiing, fitness, recovery, or getting outside on two wheels, my goal is simple: to help people feel better, move better, and enjoy what they do.
